The house of Asok Montri Hostel was 1st built around 20 years ago. The ownership of the house has changed gradually. Inspried by our love for travel and the joyful impression of hostel accomodation, we decided to start this place in the hope to support everyone Bangkok’s travel experince. And now, after a huge renovation, this hostel has become a new contemporary style place that is ready to welcome all backpackers and travelers.
The hostel is named after one of the famous road in Bangkok, Asok Montri Road (Sukhumvit Soi 21). The length of the road is approximately 1.3 kilometers. Asok Montri Road is formerly called “Soi Sukhunvit 21 (Soi Asok)” and “Thanon Asok (Mean Asok Road)”. But Bangkok has changed its name to “Asok Montri Road” on March 1, 2004 as proposed by Srinakharinwirot University as an honor for “Pra Asok Montri (Riam Sawetserani)” who is a government officer under King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) that donate his land along with other landlords to Bangkok city
